The Metropolis of San Francisco invites all Altar Boys who are in the 5th grade and higher to St. Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center for a regional Altar Boy Retreat from January 2 - 4, 2008. Participants will have the chance to meet other altar boys from Northern and Southern California and learn about the importance and meaning of serving in the altar. There will also be opportunities for archery, football (possibly snow football), ping-pong, backgammon, and more. His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos will address the altar boys and have a Question and Answer session with them. Fr. Anthony Savas of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Northridge, Fr. Michael Prevas of the Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church in Castro Valley and Pete Sotiras, Director or Youth & Family Ministries, will be the retreat leaders.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the registration form and waiver, and follow the instructions for mailing and payment. These forms can also be found at your parish, or on the Metropolis Youth webpage at: http://www.youth.sanfran.goarch.org/.
The Registration fee for the event will be $75 and includes two nights lodging, and all meals from Wednesday night through Friday noon.
