The 60 minute presentation will be followed by a live (audio) open question and answer forum.
The presenter is Dr. Paraskeve (Eve) Tibbs, Metropolis Christian Education and Formation Ministry Chair, who is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California and Chair of the Eastern Orthodox Studies Group of the American Academy of Religion.
The material to be presented is appropriate for both older teen and adult Orthodox Christians with no particular theological expertise.

This series of presentations "Between East and West" will help clarify, in a respectful way, some of the major differences between the Orthodox Church and the Protestant and Roman Catholic traditions, noting the Orthodox views on issues such as worship, theology, salvation, authority in the church, iconography, and more. Tune in on November 15th for Part I: Worship - for a discussion of important issues such as:
These questions -- and more! -- will be addressed. |
