Metropolis Lake Tahoe Young Adult Retreat

Ascend the Sierra Nevada mountains during the Martin Luther King weekend, January 18 - 21, 2008, for the Third Annual Young Adult Lake Tahoe Retreat.  This event is open to all Orthodox Christian young adults ages 18 - 30 who are interested in meeting other Orthodox young adults, learning about their Orthodox faith, and experiencing the beauty of God's creation that is Lake Tahoe. The weekend will include an optional ski or snowboarding package at the Heavenly Ski Resort, with accommodations at the Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Additional activities are being planned for those participants who would prefer not to ski or snowboard.

Fr. Christopher Flesoras of St. Anna's Greek Orthodox Church in Roseville, California will be the featured speaker. He is a very dynamic priest and relates very well with young adults. His presentation topic is: "Ascend to Heaven(ly)".

The registration deadline is January 1, 2008.  A printable registration form is available online.  A variety of packages are available, as outlined below, including special discounts for early registration.

PACKAGES INCLUDE: 1) Three nights lodging in Cabins*, and 2) all meals from Saturday morning to Monday morning (sack lunches provided when we go to Heavenly). Depending on package option, a 1 or 2-day ski lift at Heavenly may be included as well.

Transportation, ski rentals and ski lessons are not included. If you don't have ski equipment, it is advised that you rent from your local area rather than at Heavenly. There are local rental shops in Lake Tahoe that can also accommodate rentals.
